What is a Soundtrail
Soundtrails are self-paced trails with locative audio recordings designed to immerse you in the stories of your surroundings.
Using GPS technology, the stories are delivered as you make your way along the trail via an interactive app platform that is compatible with most mobile devices.
Download the Soundtrails Mobile App
Free for iOS and Android
To experience a Soundtrail on location, download the free Soundtrails App to your tablet or smartphone.
It’s best to download the app on a strong data or wifi signal. Headphones provide the optimal experience. Or you might like to use a Bluetooth speaker if you’re walking in a group.
1. Download the app via the App Store or Google Play.
2. Download the ‘Henry F Halloran Soundtrail’. The Soundtrail nearest to your location will be at the top of the list.
3. Listen with headphones /speaker and start walking.
Once on location, you can walk in and out of stories as you follow in-app maps. GPS will track your location and trigger stories at specific locations. If you are somewhere else in the world, listen to the stories by touching the pin icons on the map.
Some of the stories are only available when on site and are hidden from view, so make sure you follow the whole trail to listen to all the stories.
